This award will equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to enable a practical understanding and appreciation of the role of professional acting in television and film

Course Content

To enable the learner to develop an understanding of the different roles of practitioners in
film and television
To assist the learner to develop an understanding of the technical, emotional and
intellectual skills required to bring a character to life and make him/her believable
To enable the learner to develop analytical skills in relation to script and text for film and
television
To enable the learner to develop a broad understanding of the artistic and technical aspects
of film and television production
To enable the learner to develop the skills required to maintain a character’s physical and
emotional continuity over the course of a production in a recorded media discipline
To assist the learner to develop the academic and vocational language, literacy and
numeracy skills related to TV and film acting through the medium of the indicative content
